Protect Yourself from COVID-19

I don’t know about you, but I’m finding our current global health crisis overwhelming. There’s no doubt that COVID-19 has impacted everyone in one fashion or another whether directly or indirectly. Furthermore, we are bombarded with information on a continual basis from a variety of scientific and medical experts, government spokespersons, or economic analysts. The problem, as I see it, is that all the expert opinions and interpretations of data are completely different. We’ve begun to lose trust in our systems that were designed to protect us and don’t really appear to be working.

Personally, I’m not scared of the COVID-19 virus, or any virus for that matter. That doesn’t mean I’m reckless with my health and have an invincible attitude. Quite the contrary. I’ve spent the last 15+ years systematically making my immune system the strongest it can possibly be. While it will be a while before the final conclusions are in, what’s been fairly consistent in reporting to date is that the second leading factor (second only to age) in the relationship to COVID-19 and the potential for death are comorbidities, specifically obesity, and diseases related to obesity such as diabetes and heart disease.

What’s the connection between chronic disease and the potential for death related to COVID-19? Inflammation. The root cause of all chronic disease is inflammation; inflammation is your immune system at work trying to correct things that are wrong in the body. If you have any type of chronic disease, you have a constant upregulation of the immune system. If it’s working on a continual basis to manage a disease, then it can hardly be expected to handle an attack by an unknown virus such as COVID-19 to which we have no immunity.

A small factor in any disease is genetics. But for the most part, diabetes and heart disease are a result of lifestyle choices: poor diet, lack of exercise, and excess stress. The good news is that with a healthy diet, intentional exercise, and stress management, these diseases can be managed very effectively, maybe even reversed. The bad news is that it’s not easy to make those changes alone.

It’s why we’ve created the best possible system for managing inflammation with foods and nutrients specific to any individual with full support from our experienced, expert staff. We start by identifying a person’s inflammatory response to various foods; we remove those that are most inflammatory but more importantly, we use the foods that are least inflammatory to heal the immune system. Next, we target depleted nutrients. And, during times like this with the risk of infection from COVID-19, we target additional nutrients that not only support the immune system but those that specifically offer viral protection.

This system, known as the Health Optimizer Program, is both fast-acting and long-lasting. It’s fast in that most patients experience a 25-75% reduction in inflammation in just 10 days with specific foods. It’s long-lasting in that the learning experience and program support instill new and permanent habits, and the benefits of feeling good are perpetually motivating.
Don’t let COVID-19 drag you down. In the end, it’s not going to matter what the numbers are, how good or bad the systems were, or how appropriate the response from any entity. What’s going to matter is your immune system and how well you support it.
