Anxiety is often thought of as excessive worry that controls a person’s thinking and reasoning, but it’s really brain inflammation, hormone imbalances, and nutrient deficiencies that cause rapid breathing and heart rates. All of the factors contributing to anxiety can be corrected with the right foods and nutrients.
Several types of arthritis cause pain and inflammation in joints that can leave people immobile. Eventually, people stop trying to engage in physical activities, which in turn makes the arthritis worse. Eating to reduce inflammation can get joints back to full function.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Irritable Bowel Disease are disorders of the large intestine. IBS/IBD cause a number of stressors on digestion such as gas, bloating, constipation, and/or diarrhea. They can be painful, embarrassing, and frustrating to figure out what to eat on a daily basis without feeling terrible.
Heartburn, GERD, and regurgitation are all signs that something is very wrong with digestion. It is painful, and if ignored long term, can lead to permanent damage to the esophagus. Many foods contribute to the inflammation of heartburn, not just the typical spicy, caffeine, or fatty foods.
When our thinking process gets clouded, it’s hard to make decisions, describe our thoughts, or categorize information. Reducing inflammation and taking supporting nutrients can lift brain fog and help you feel competent once again.
Leaky gut occurs when the tight junctions in the intestinal cells pull apart and allow undigested food to pass into the blood stream and other tissues causing inflammation. Leaky gut is tied to many diseases and syndromes but especially autoimmune diseases. Healing leaky guts leads to systemic healing.
Untreated depression can often take over a person’s life and lead to unfortunate outcomes. Eating foods that heal the gut, reduce brain inflammation, and provide adequate nutrients can be an effective component of a treatment plan to overcome depression.
Headaches can range from mild to intense, dull to sharp, or infrequent to constant. Regardless, they can limit the ability to live a normal, high functioning life at home, work, school, or social events. Eliminating foods that cause inflammation can bring significant headache relief.
Being tired all the time can really be a drag. Chronic fatigue can be the result of multiple things – or the result of nothing specific. Managing inflammation with key foods and nutrients can bring you back to full energy and vitality.

My LEAP Story by Kristina
My name is Kristina and this is my LEAP story. My headaches started in high school. My junior and the first part of my senior year were mostly spent in bed. I had headaches nearly every day. I was so sick from the pain, I couldn’t go to school because lying down was the only thing that helped. The headaches would get so bad that medicine wasn’t helping anymore. We decided to try LEAP after doctors told me that they couldn’t find anything wrong. My life now is really nice. My headaches are gone.
